Hold
Postpartum Body Balm
Hold is an unscented postpartum body balm designed to support healing, tissue integrity, and nervous system regulation after birth.
After pregnancy and delivery, the body is reorganizing — skin, fascia, and deeper support systems adjusting to changes in load, pressure, and connection. Hold was created to support this phase through touch that is steady, grounding, and contained.
The balm begins with a slow herb infusion of calendula, plantain, and chamomile, traditionally used to support sensitive and recovering skin. The infusion is blended with olive oil and shea butter to create a soft, warming balm that melts easily in the hands and allows for controlled, sustained contact. Tamanu oil supports tissue recovery and scar quality, while batana oil nourishes the skin and underlying connective tissue, helping tissues feel more supported and resilient over time. A small amount of vitamin E supports skin integrity and shelf stability.
Hold is intentionally unscented. It is designed to be used through belly and body massage, allowing the nervous system to settle while tissues receive consistent, reassuring input. Slow, repeated touch over the abdomen can support relaxation, improve circulation, and help the body transition out of a heightened postpartum state.
Hold may be used postpartum to support:
Firming and supporting the skin as tissues recover
Nourishing fascia and connective tissue
Improving the feel and appearance of scars over time (external use only)
Postpartum healing and body awareness
Nervous system calming through belly massage and touch
Hold does not promise correction or “snap back.” Its role is to support the body as it rebuilds tone, connection, and internal support at its own pace.
Hold is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin, and is intended for external use only during the postpartum period
